Bhagavd Gita, Context, Text, Message By Bhuchandra Baidya, Spirituality, Paperback, Published By Educational Publishing House

Bhagavad Gita, popularly known as Gita, is the conversation between God and Man–between Krishna, God in human form, and his devotee-friend Arjuna. It happened in the battlefield of Kurukshetra just before the Great War of Bharata, the catastrophic war in human history, commenced. Sage Vyasa later presented it in seven hundred metrical verses ordered in eighteen chapters. The Gita has a universal appeal; it offers something to everyone who reads it studiously. The way of living that the Gita propounds helps everyone to live cheerfully and end their life peacefully.
This book states the context of the Gita, renders the verses of the Gita in prose, ordering them together into paragraphs, and finally, draws the message of the Gita in the context of the meaning and purpose of life in this world. Thanks to the directness, immediacy, and conversational quality of the original maintained in the translation of the verses and the smooth flow of presentation, this book makes enlightening as well as joyful reading.
