Camera Cage for RED KOMODO-X Lightweight Kit – Black

Add a cage with accessory mounting and mobility options to your RED KOMODO-X cinema camera with this black Camera Cage Lightweight Kit from Tilta. The kit includes the modular KOMODO-X camera cage, a dovetail plate, a lens adapter support, a lightweight quick release top handle, a left-side wooden handle, and a NATO rail adapter for the side handle.

The cage and top handle provide numerous mounting options, including 1/4″-20 and 3/8″-16 threads, shoe mounts, NATO rails, and rosettes. The wooden handle mounts onto the side of the cage and provides a quick NATO rail mount for the handle to easily adjust, mount, or remove. 

Tilta Full Camera Cage for RED KOMODO-X (Black)

Mount accessories and add mounting options to your RED KOMODO-X cinema camera with the black Full Camera Cage from Tilta. The modular cage is made up of different components that can be added and removed as needed, including left/right side panels, a bottom plate, a top/front plate, and a top/rear plate that secure directly onto the camera. The components provide a shoe mount, NATO rails, two ARRI-style rosettes, 1/4″-20 threads, and 3/8″-16 anti-twist threads.

A dovetail plate is included to mount the camera onto an optional baseplate, and a lens adapter support is also included to add support for heavier lenses. Other optional Tilta accessories for this cage include a top handle, a 15mm or 19mm LWS baseplate, a battery plate, a monitor mount, and more.

Modular Design for Expanding Ecosystem

The camera cage includes five parts: Front Top Plate, Left Side Arm, Right Side Arm, Bottom Plate, and Rear Top Plate. Each part is detachable and can be used independently.

Easy Mounting and Disassembly

The camera cage comes with one M4 Allen wrench and one flathead screwdriver to accommodate on-the-go assembly.

The lens adapter support provides robust security for various-sized lenses, and it reduces safety concerns for long lenses.

Multiple Compatibility Options

The cage is compatible with numerous accessories, including gear with 1/4″-20 or 3/8″-16 screws, a shoe adapter, or NATO clamps. Optional Tilta gear includes a 15mm LWS baseplate, I/O module, foldable top handle, V-mount battery plate, and more.

Tilta Lightweight Quick Release Top Handle (Black)

Carry and stabilize your Tiltaing camera cage with the black Lightweight Quick Release Top Handle from Tilta. This quick release top handle is smaller than the standard Tiltaing quick release handle and well suited for use with smaller cameras or when a smaller shooting package is desired. It features one shoe mount, a single 15mm rod port, and multiple 1/4″-20 and ARRI-style anti-twist 3/8″-16 threads.

This aluminum and stainless steel handle attaches securely to your camera cage using the included spring-loaded thumbscrew. The 15mm rod port features a thumb-lever fastener to secure a rod to the handle. In addition to cages, you can mount this on a variety of camera top plates, but please note that if used with a RED KOMODO, it can only be mounted backward on the top plate.
