After 5 consecutive wrong password attempts, the lock enters the Smart Freeze Mode and an Auto-secure alarm is immediately activated. The lock is designed to optimize power usage, extend the battery life, and minimize the hassle of frequently replacing batteries. If the lock runs out of battery, connect a power source through the USB port to regain access for a while.
